Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to pursue music for the sake of personal development, and not for the purpose of making money or for as a hobby. So she started with her own music. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as being her influences. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music publicly, not so that she could be famous, but to help others realize that they matter and the good they do for the world. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started making music when she was 9 years old. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She says she just likes creating songs. The music she writes is her way of feeling anything.
