Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received many awards and grants. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims by the legal system. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
